Katy ISD is a prestigious Texas independent school district, and from all aspects, its academics are amazing as well as its sports and arts. The only criticism I would have is that there are too many people moving in, and not enough space for them. I am thoroughly enjoying my time here, especially at the MIller Career and Technology Center, which enables me to graduate with a Veterinary Assisting License!

2024-2025 school year is already ruined and first day just ended, let’s spend money on a useless phone policy that makes every kid hate being in your facility, and dooms most kids ability to learn, me personally don’t see a point of in person now if we’re all gonna be staring down chromebooks for the next 1-4 yrs of us high schoolers when we could be safer and more comfortable at our homes doing the exact thing. Living in a country with horrible security itself, being in a school isn’t much safer, and for the past 3 years of being in TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL I have seen no change in security and better yet a major lack in security. Let’s see the dropout rate increase along with the amount of tardies and/or cases or truancy, this district has never been a good district, there’s no care in any hands on interaction with teachers anymore and who wants to be in such a unbearable environment. It’s like working in a fast food job as a cashier and being told you can’t talk.

While being enrolled in the Katy Independent School District I’ve experienced a number of great things, such as diversity, getting to meet friendly new people, and a chance to excel in academic achievements with the help of all the hard working teachers I’ve came across each school year!
